With the project we want to strengthen a route that connects courtyards of housing blocks between Schout Heynricplein and the Sint Franciscus tuin at Meester Marrestraat, by co-producing this with neighbors.

It starts by remaking gates and fences from old bicycles through a series of think-together sessions and educational welding workshops. This can lead to wider group creativity over the route, imagining what other applications of residual material could be found, with the hope for greater empowerment, connection and shared space between the housing. And our idea is, that by developing new skills, material knowledge and awareness of reusing waste, participants could potentially become involved or lead other projects in the neighborhood via Havensteder, a supporter of the initiative.

The route goes through various courtyards and is publicly accessible, but is closed at night. Along the route you will pass various neighborhood gardens, play areas and a rainwater garden. Many residents are not aware the route connects through multiple blocks!
